At Dei Precision German Shepherds, we have a commitment to breeding dogs of good health, temperament, and intelligence. In fact, our dogs are bred according to a strict standard, the German Shepherd SV standards.

SV standards were developed by the German Canine Association, and the Club for German Shepherd Dogs (SV). The club established guidelines for good breeding over 100 years ago– standards we believe are essential to healthy and happy German Shepherd puppies.
 
Here’s a brief overview of the guidelines as established by the SV:

General appearance – German Shepherds are medium-sized dogs with strong bones and well-muscled bodies. Typical German Shepherd puppies will reach a height of 55 to 65 cm. when mature.

Temperament – The ideal German Shepherd puppy is self-confident, calm, friendly, courageous and protective.

Specific characteristics – SV provides very detailed and specific standards for healthy German shepherds. These standards include measurements and appearance for the dog’s head, ears, neck, body, limbs forehand, hind quarters, movement, skin, coat, size and weight.

Colors – Our German Shepherd puppies are reddish-brown, tan, and black with appropriate masks.
